The sales figure gives the development the distinction of having the highest number of foreign buyers in Q3 2019.

Non-permanent residents (NPR) took up 18.2% of sales for residential condominium development Parc Clematis, while 20.9% of the buyers were non-Singaporeans, reported Singapore Business Review citing Knight Frank.

“The project appealed to foreign buyers due to its proximity to the National University of Singapore, Jurong East and One-north,” said Knight Frank in a report.

Singaporean buyers, however, still made up most of the new home buyers in the top five projects by sales, covering 80% to 90% of the units bought.

Knight Frank indicated that the projects were attractive to citizens because of the affordable quantum, the possible upside due to government development plans and the location.
